Endodontics
Endodontics consists in the treatment of the inner part of the tooth, i.e. the root canals. Endodontic treatment is performed when an inflammation occurs either from a cavity or from an injury. First, the root canal is cleaned perfectly and then it is filled up to stop the infection from spreading through the root canal. In some cases this treatment is carried out before making a crown or a bridge. Local anaesthesia ensures complete painlessness for the patient. The tooth may remain sensitive for several more days, however, and depending on its state, a filling or a denture is made after the procedure.
